Electric vehicles, particularly in the two-wheeler segment, are gaining popularity in the country for a variety of reasons. Alongside, the need for a robust charging infrastructure is also becoming essential. Though many EV players have promised to set up their own charging stations, it is paramount to have a decent, domestic charging infrastructure. Radius Synergies’ EVCD is a path-breaking attempt in that direction.

With several start-ups and young players entering the field, the electric vehicles market is evidently seeing a rise in sales. Multiple schemes and campaigns launched by the Government to educate the public about the benefits of EVs, both for the economy as well as the environment, are also contributing significantly to this. Recently, the electric two-wheeler segment has, particularly, witnessed spurt in popularity. And within this segment, the launch of Ola Electric scooter has turned the market upside down.

Ola has set up, what it claims, the largest factory for electric two-wheelers in the world. The company announced that its manufacturing facility at Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu would have the capacity to produce more than 10 million scooters per year, i.e. one e-scooter every two seconds. New players like Ola Electric and Ather Energy are receiving a huge positive turnaround, which is assumed to increase the sales of EVs as opposed to petrol-based two wheelers.

    • Radius Synergies International has come up with a revolutionary EV charging product, EVCD, to tackle the charging and billing problems of those in high-rise apartments or commercial properties.
    • While the consumers can pay for the energy consumption online via a mobile app, the builders can track the energy consumed for EV charging on a dashboard (also provided by the EVCD Team).

There is a huge scope in the automobile market in India with the growth in infrastructure, technology, and also consumer demand. With the increase in population and automobiles in the country, pollution levels are also soaring. Thus, there is a growing realisation about the need to adopt electric two- wheelers as the preferred mode of commute.

With the increase in EV sales, a state-of-the-art EV charging infrastructure is also mandatory. Though Ola has claimed that it will set up its own charging stations across the country, specifically for its own scooters, the need for a decent domestic EV charging infrastructure still remains paramount.

Amidst this public and domestic charging dilemma, Radius Synergies International has come up with a revolutionary EV charging product, EVCD (Electric Vehicle Charging Dock), to tackle the charging and billing problems of those residing in high-rise apartments or availing commercial properties.

Providing open points for charging in a housing society can prove to be worrisome for builders/RWAs as these can be misused by the consumers and tracking electricity theft would be difficult. To solve the issue, EVCD has been designed specifically to help both, the builders as well as the consumers. The EVCD box not only safeguards the charging points but also blocks any chance of electricity theft by cutting off supply from the backend if any such attempt is made.

The EVCD also provides a hassle-free billing solution to the consumers and the builders. While the consumers can pay for the energy consumption online via a mobile app, the builders can track the energy consumed for EV charging on a dashboard (also provided by the EVCD Team). By making EV charging and revenue management convenient for everyone involved, the EVCD proves to be a boon.
