APP concludes its maiden realty conclave in national capital

The 1st Association of Property Professionals (APP) Realty Conclave, Delhi NCR for 2019 was held on 20th February at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity. The theme of the event was Educate, Collaborate and Transform. The event started with a solemn homage to the Pulwama martyrs.

This trendsetting event promises to be an important milestone. Significant discussions took place at educative and informative power-packed sessions. These focused on legal intricacies, norms for securing mandates and use of software & IT tools. Realtors while presenting their upcoming projects, asked questions, and discussed key issues to seek solutions.

The Conclave got off to a flying start with riveting addresses by top office-bearers. Speakers from APP – Delhi NCR: Ashwin Jain, Co-Chairman APP Realty Conclave & President APP Delhi NCR; Abhishek Jain, Co-Chairman APP Realty Conclave and Tarun Bhatia, Chairman APP Delhi NCR & Treasurer NAR India. In his welcome address, Ashwin Jain appreciated the gathering and said, “It is indeed, noteworthy that we have so many of our peers and professionals joining us as we Educate, Collaborate and Transform’ our work environment, while developing our skills and efforts to provide much-needed support and understanding within our fraternity.”

Other speakers were Ravi Varma, Chairman NAR India, Farook Mahmood, Vice-Chairman NAR India and Sumanth Reddy, President Elect NAR India.

There were several well-crafted sessions with Panel discussions that addressed key issues and areas of concern.

Panel 1 on RERA Implementation & the Way Forward was moderated by Sunil Aggarwal, Balck Olive Ventures. Panelists included Nayan Raheja- Raheja Developers, Col Prithvi Nath- NAREDCO, Aman Gehlot-Ambience, Harsh Bansal-Unity Group, and Vivek Sachdeva-Hero Realty.

Speaking at the interesting and pertinent session on the Delhi Land Pooling Policy, Ramesh Menon, Certes Realty said, “Delhi is rapidly urbanising and the migratory population requires houses. The Delhi Land Pooling Policy offers an opportunity to release large hectares of land for development, which will have new housing units constructed by the private sector. DDA and the private sector will have to work together to have more area for new housing units,”.

There was an interactive session on ‘What does the future hold…” ably moderated by Tarun Bhatia, Education Head NAR India. Tarun Bhatia highlighted unity within the fraternity when he said, “I urge you all to utilize the untapped potential offered by this vibrant congregation. We can do wonders when we pool our experience, skills and initiatives and take collaboration and education to new heights.

Delivering the Vote of Thanks, Abhishek Jain, Co-Chairman, APP Realty Conclave 2019 thanked all the sponsors and Office-bearers of NAR India and APP Delhi NCR for their unstinted support for the Conclave. His positive words elevated the mood of all participants. He said, “The APP Realty Conclave takes place at promising juncture when ‘better days, Achhe Din’ are emerging. The significance of the Conclave is increased by its relevance to the current scenario. Real estate in India is poised for growth with implementation of several Government schemes of affordable housing, clarity in new policies and a spike in real estate sales is happening”. His words were welcomed with huge applause.

There were several panelists from DAMAC, M3M, Unity Group and NAR India Office-bearers.
Other session topics included discussions on Vaastu, Taxation, Ethics in Marketing & Sales and Exclusive Mandates. All sessions were an elite gathering of realtors, real estate professionals and associated industry leaders. The collective effort was to seek and implement ways to elevate ethical practice and transparency while creating trust, reliability and dependability.

The sessions were designed to leverage the collective wisdom of the fraternity and its extensive industry expertise. Experts proposed fresh policy measures and technology in infrastructure to boost growth in housing and realty. These will also serve as a catalyst in the planning of ‘smart cities’. Real estate in India is poised for growth with implementation of several Government schemes of affordable housing, clarity in new policies and a spike in real estate sales is happening.

APP Realty Conclave 2019 was organized by the Association of Property Professionals (APP) Delhi-NCR, an arm of National Association of Realtors (NAR India). The Conclave’s objective is to help systematize and elevate the real estate brokerage profession in Delhi NCR. Immense scope was given to participants to enhance their knowledge and skills for better client service.
