Big Bloc shakes hands with SCG International India to create a JV


Big Bloc Construction Limited announced a new partnership with SCG International India to manufacture ALC Blocks and Panels. Big Bloc will hold 52% while SCG will hold a 48% stake in the joint venture. The joint venture will manufacture and sell lightweight concrete blocks and panels with a total capacity of 2.6 million sq metres in Gujarat. The total value of the project is estimated at Rs 89.10 cr. The construction of the plant is expected to be completed in a year followed by the commercial set-up.


Speaking about the development, Narayan Saboo, Chairman, Big Bloc Construction Limited said,” We are excited to announce our collaboration with SCG which will help us to expand our product range and enter new geographies. SCG is the best choice of partner as it is the largest cement company in South East Asia. We expect this partnership to be mutually beneficial for both parties.”
SCG International India aims to share its technology, expertise and know-how to support the growth in the Indian market. Big Bloc will provide business through their networks including architects, contractors and project developers for the promotion and distribution of the products.
