Century Ply’s Central Distribution Centre

India, January 24, 2022: Century Plyboards (India) Ltd. inaugurated a 35000 sq. feet Central Distribution Centre (CDC) with stocking capacity of 4,00,000 (Four lakhs) sheets of Laminates & Veneers at its Joka plant in West Bengal today. The stocking capacity can be increased further by 50% with redesigning of racking system.


With the start of CDC operations, the overall replenishment time is expected to be reduced by 40%. A press release issued by the company says that due to the faster stock replenishment, the service level at Regional Distribution centers will be maintained above 95%.

One of the biggest advantage of this CDC facility is the equipped modern Warehouse Management System, through which all stocks can be identified and traced in one click. Around 1000 finished goods SKUs will be stocked at the new CDC. This supply re-networking will bring an operational saving of 1 crore annually.

The CDC will help to bring stock visibility across the entire supply chain network.
