CREDAI-Pune Metro Hosts First General Body Meet and Installation Ceremony for CREDAI Maharashtra

Pune, April 21, 2025: CREDAI-Pune Metro, the apex body of private real estate developers in Pune, hosts the First General Body Meet (2025–2027) and Installation Ceremony of CREDAI Maharashtra at JW Marriott Hotel Pune. This landmark event marked the installation of the newly formed team of CREDAI Maharashtra.
The ceremony was graced by esteemed leaders Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Satish Magar, Sunil Furde, Rajendra Singh Jabinda, Shantilal Katariya and Rajiv Parikh, who led the proceedings with their invaluable guidance and presence. Newly elected President CREDAI-Pune Metro Manish Jain and newly elected Vice-President CREDAI National Ranjit Naiknavare were also present and shared their agendas for their term.
A joint press conference for CREDAI Pune, CREDAI Maharashtra and CREDAI National, was moderated by Kapil Gandhi, Convenor, CREDAI National. Newly elected president CREDAI Maharashtra Prafulla Taware, a civil engineer and a member Developer from Baramati, takes over the helm from outgoing president Pramod Khairnar. Taware, a licensed pilot, is also the secretary of Aircraft Owners & Pilots association, India (AOPA).
He spoke about his key priorities for the 2025–2027 term, including empowering Tier II and Tier III cities, policy advocacy, skill development initiatives to generate employment, a consumer-centric approach, among others. The event had attendance from more than 600 member developers across Maharashtra representing over 61 cities and highlighting Pune’s role as a driving force in Maharashtra’s urban development landscape.
Prafulla Taware, President, CREDAI Maharashtra, said, “At CREDAI Maharashtra, we are committed to completing the ongoing projects initiated during the previous tenure, while also strategically planning for the growth of Tier II and Tier III cities across Maharashtra. It is equally important for us to conduct impactful activities that will help shape the future of CREDAI Maharashtra and the real estate sector as a whole.”

This newly appointed leadership team is dedicated to driving innovation, inclusivity and integrity in Maharashtra’s real estate sector. Under their stewardship, CREDAI Maharashtra aims to strengthen industry credibility, foster growth and enhance investor confidence.


Manish Jain, President, CREDAI-Pune Metro, said the agenda for the next two years is to set a trend to make affordable, accessible and available housing for every citizen, being considered as a basic right. He has stressed on how we need government support to make housing affordable. He also announced that CREDAI Pune will also start a center of excellence to impart skill-based training to construction workers.
CREDAI Pune will also focus on several critical areas, including addressing environmental clearances issues in PCMC and surrounding 5km radius, the Development Plan (DP) for PMRDA, ensuring fair water allocation and augmentation, and metering for projects and streamlining processes to improve ease of doing business. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on advocating amendments in relevant acts and regulations, and encouraging the adoption of advanced technologies and automation to improve construction quality, speed and cost-efficiency.
Ranjit Naiknavare conveyed the good wishes extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He also pressed on the need for faster approvals and ease of doing business to align with the vision of providing housing for all. He also highlighted CREDAI National’s 5-point agenda for Viksit Bharat, which includes:
