To begin with, an apology is in place, for reaching you late! The primary reason for the delay is that we all got totally immersed in presenting before you a highly improved and revamped version of Realty & More magazine and its website. We wanted to come up with richer content, fresh columns and more contemporary design. The task, however, turned out to be humongous and it was taking more time than we had envisaged. Time was flying fast, the month of July was more than half-way through and we were confronted with two difficult choices. Either to come out with a half-baked version of R&M’s new avatar or skip the July issue altogether. We vetoed both the options and decided to release the edition in the existing format thereby maintaining our rare distinction of having uninterrupted publication ever since inception. The redesigning work, however, is still in process and we all will have to wait for our anniversary issue in September to see the change. The revamped websitewill be uploaded in the next few days.

For the cover story in this issue we interviewed NMRC MD Santosh Yadav, who is back to push the reforms agenda in the NCR region. Apart from sharing with us various details of the ongoing work being carried out by NMRC for the 30-km Noida-Greater Noida line, the dynamic bureaucrat told us that he also has plans to develop 50 hectares of land parcels along the Metro route. He is also confident of running the first Metro train four months ahead of schedule. Well, that is what Yadav is known for: novel ideas, fast execution!

On June 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi put his ambitious Smart Cities Mission into implementation mode by launching 84 projects slated to cost about Rs 2,000 crore. Though the launch function was organised in Pune, 70 of these projects are designated for 19 other selected cities. These cities were linked to the PM through video-conferencing wherein their states’ Chief Ministers and other leaders gave details of their plans for smart cities and interacted with Modi. The shocking Brexit vote has shaken the entire world and we thought it appropriate to carry an expert opinion on how it is going to impact the real estate sector. Anuj Puri, Chairman and Country Head, JLL India, writes that post-referendum, investment inflows into the sector are somewhat at risk globally but it will continue recovering in India on the back of a resilient economy and strong capital inflows.

As part of our renewed focus on online sales that have taken the entire urban India by storm, we profile two interior solutions companies which have made impressive footprints in the Delhi-NCR home market by offering a wide range of products with high quality and reasonable prices. And to strengthen the ‘More’ aspect of Realty & More, we spoke to BaniGAnand whorecently launched All About Eve, a collaborative branding vendor platform solely for women. The young entrepreneur, who happens to be daughter of ATS promoter GetamberAnand, insists that she has her roots firmly intact in the real estate business.

In our Developerspeak section Manju Gaur, Director, Gaursons, writes about her company’s soon-to-be-launched project ‘Gaurs Siddhartham’ the location of which, she says, has been handpicked to provide utmost comfort of a lifestyle living.

In addition, the July issue contains your regular reads – home loan rates offered by various lenders, property rates of different localities of different cities, Vastu column, and what your stars hold for you in the next one month.

Happy reading!!!
