Gaurs Group installs North India’s first Water Gun at its project to counter pollution

· Water Gun will help settle the dust at the construction sites
· Plans to buy 50 more guns in the coming two months
Noida Extension, February 19, 2010: Leading realty firm Gaurs Group has taken a major step to control the dust particle pollution at the construction sites. The company has installed a water gun at its project 7th Avenue, Greater Noida West, that will help settle the dust. The decision — a first not only in Delhi NCR but whole of North India — was taken after rising concerns that construction sites are adding to the environment pollution.
Gaurs Group has always been at the forefront to take environment friendly steps that help improve the quality of residents. The company has policy to ensure zero garbage at its projects through solid waste management, rainwater harvesting, use of solar energy and installation of STP plants.
Talking about the initiative Manoj Gaur, MD, Gaurs Group, said, “We are in the business of development. Environment and development have to go hand in hand. We have a pro-active approach to take care of environment while developing all our projects. We also value the health of our residents — present and prospective. The water gun will surely help us to contain the pollution and will also come as respite in the nearby areas. We have started with 7th Avenue & Gaur City Center and plan to buy 50 more such guns in the coming two months. The plan is to have these guns in all the projects.”
Gaursons India is developing projects in Noida, Greater Noida West, Ghaziabad and Yamuna Expressway. It is developing a 250 acre township ‘Gaur Yamuna City’ on Yamuna Expressway that connects Noida with Agra. The company has also entered the education and hospitality businesses.
