Gaursons stickler for green norms
The recent National Green Tribunal orders for the developers to follow ecological norms or else halt construction is a wake-up call to everyone to think about the environment first. When it comes to developing environment friendly projects, Gaursons deserves a special mention. Starting with small residential projects to creating a complete city in Greater Noida, (West). Gaursons as a real estate developer has always been careful about taking the required clearances from the authorities and concerned bodies to making sure that the environment should not take a beating when
development is being done in its various projects.
As per the new guidelines issued by the NGT, developers can’t store construction material on roads they have to install sprinklers to control dust
pollution and have to use tarpaulins around the area of construction. Also, green barriers have to be put around the construction area and protective masks should be given to construction workers.
Apart from following the norms and including it in our best practices, we are also doing our best towards contributing in this vision of ‘Clean & Green UP’ by using STP and Solar Power Energy. We use solar powered lights in all common areas, basements, fire stations, street lights, signages, clubs and other facilities. We also aim to make our township zero-garbage city, i.e. no bio-degradeble solid waste garbage will go to the
landfill sites from our township.
By this, around 8,000 kg per day or about 3,000 tonnes per year will be saved from dumping. Also the transportation cost and the manpower involved will be saved. We are following the concept of ‘Reduce – Reuse Recycle’ and the idea of walk-to work, walk-to-school an walk to-
play·
On the whole, we have more than 30 million square feet of pre-certified Gold-rated buildings. We are using special reflective glass for all residences light to come in. The roofs of our building have an insulation which does not allow the heat to pass through and keeps the building cool.
Gaursons is seriously concerned about the safety of our customers and we follow strict checks and test all our raw material used for building a
home. Currently we are using Korean construction technology which strengthens the structure and makes it earthquake resistant.
This technology also plays a major role in timely delivery.
Apart from this, Gaursons has been closely associated with the IGBC. Being a Founder Member of the IGBC, it’s our responsibility to promote green homes to the occupants where they can live a quality lifestyle with optimal usa§e of resources.
All our under-construction projects come under Green Building certification ..
To sum up, Gaursons is fully aware of its responsibility towards the environment, society and especially our valuable customers.
