Grohe launches Dual Tech programme in the Capital

International sanitary fittings brand Grohe on Thursday announced the launch of its Dual Tech in New Delhi. After its successful run in Mumbai, Grohe, in association with Don Bosco learning centre, is all set to train young people from economically challenged backgrounds in the region by imparting high-quality training programme in certified plumbing.

According to a press release, the programme addresses the dual need of the industry – on one hand it supports the youth with skill development, while on the other, it fills the skilled-labour supply gap.

The release said Grohe Dual Tech aims to enhance the professionalism of the local plumbing trade. The institute will play an instrumental role in empowering the young individuals to learn plumbing skills and make a career in the Indian sanitary fittings industry.

The new centre was inaugurated by Michael Mager, Executive Director Personnel and Organisation, Grohe AG and Renu Misra, MD, Grohe India Pvt. Ltd.

Misra said, “With this institutional framework we see ourselves contributing to the upliftment of underprivileged children and young people in the poorest regions. We see high demand for skilled workers in the sanitary ware and real estate space in India.”

Michael Mager said, “We’re pleased that with the launch of the Delhi centre, the large populations of unemployed youth and immigrants in the city and nearby areas of the region now have a chance for a better future.”
