Huda to connect Old Gurgaon sectors with Dwarka e-way

HUDA

The Haryana Urban Development Authority has decided to change road the alignment to provide direct connectivity for Sectors 9, 9A, 10, 10 A of Old Gurgaon with Dwarka Expressway.

According to a published media report, HUDA will construct a railway-over-bridge above Delhi-Rewari railway line passing through the area. For this, the Authority will have to make amendments in Gurgaon-Manesar Development Plan 2021.

“With the change in alignment by making changes in Master Plan 2021 these four sectors will get directed connectivity with Dwarka expressway,” a senior HUDA official was quoted as saying in the report.

Elaborating further, he said since the Master Plan has no provision for connecting Sector 101-104 road with the main roads of Sectors 9, 9A, 10, 10A, they are proposing a RoB over railway track. “At present 1,150 meter long and four-lane sector 101-104 road is being constructed at the cost of Rs 13 crore. Around 50 per cent work is over and remaining work will be completed after change in alignment,” he said adding that change in alignment will also help in early completion of the road.

The expressway was planned to decongest traffic in Gurgaon by allowing traffic from Jaipur side to skip the Gurgaon Expressway and head straight towards Dwarka and IGI Airport. The NPR will be the third link road connecting Delhi and Gurgaon after NH8 and Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road.

“With this new connectivity now, residents of the above mentioned sectors can skip congestion on NH-8 for reaching Delhi or airport. It will save time for residents of these areas and it may also reduce congestion on NH-8,” said the official.
