MHADA Honors Ex-Servicemen and Employees on 78th Independence Day 

Mumbai, August 15, 2024 – The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day at its headquarters in Bandra East. The flag was hoisted by MHADA’s Vice President and CEO, Mr. Sanjeev Jaiswal.

The event included a salute to the national flag by the local police, the Maharashtra Security Force, and MHADA’s security team. After the flag was raised, the national and state anthems were played.

MHADA officers and staff attended the ceremony in large number. During the event, Mr. Jaiswal honored MHADA employees who are ex-servicemen, with shawl and shrifal , thanking them for their service to the nation.

In his address, Mr. Jaiswal conveyed his best wishes for Independence Day and highlighted the importance of addressing the concerns of citizens who visit MHADA offices. He noted that the grievances received during MHADA’s Lokshahi Din programs underline the need for strategic policy decisions. Mr. Jaiswal stressed that the success of these programs depends on the resolution of citizens’ complaints and urged every MHADA employee to play a role in achieving this goal. He also expressed confidence that MHADA, a leading entity in the housing sector, will soon gain international recognition for its efforts.

Mr. Jaiswal further addressed the growing demand for housing driven by population increases, reaffirming MHADA’s commitment to provide quality housing at affordable prices. He assured that MHADA will soon take steps to reduce housing costs, addressing concerns that MHADA homes are becoming increasingly out of reach for the general public. He also expressed pride in honoring the ex-servicemen currently working with MHADA.

The event was attended by key officials, including Mr. Milind Shambharkar, Mr. Milind Borikar, Mr. Dheerajkumar Pandirkar, Mr. Shivkumar Ade, Mr. Ajaysingh Pawar, Mr. Anil Wankhede, Mr. Anil Ankalgi, Mr. Ravindra Patil, Mr. Umesh Wagh, Mrs. Vaishali Gadpale, and Mr. Sanjay Shinde.

MHADA employees also performed patriotic songs, and the program was anchored by Public Relations Officer Mr. Hemant Patil.
