Dr. Manoj Prasad, a doctorate in Strategic Management, is a renowned global Investment banker and corporate strategist.

He made his place in the management of top international financial institutions like HSBC, Barclays, and Morgan Stanley. At these institutions, he spearheaded their development and led the global, South Asian and East African market franchise. He also played a critical role in re-building Barclay’s investment banking and wealth management franchise in Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

He maintains a strong and credible relationship with almost all the top private equity funds, hedge funds, family office, Investment banks, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds worldwide.

Dr Prasad has a wide experience in business building, business management, business as well as organisational restructuring and turnaround situations. Besides, he has extensive corporate finance background, including corporate and real estate financing, workouts, distressed situations acquisition & management of NPL portfolios, restructuring low-performing businesses. He has managed large multi-geography, multi-product businesses. He has strong and credible network in US, LATAM, Europe, GCC, African and Asian regions.

During 2008-09 when recession hit the investment sector, the financial sector across the world took a beating. Braving financial slump, Dr  Prasad mustered enough courage and inspired himself to establish Que Capital in 2013. He established Que Capital Limited, an independent financial services boutique based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). He quit a lucrative investment banking job with Morgan Stanley, to explore the unchartered world of entrepreneurship.

During such a time Dr Prasad  stayed confident of the global markets capability to bounce back and reposed tremendous faith in his abilities and skills in financial management and understanding of the markets. It was from here that his childhood dream of entrepreneurship took offer, and he took the plunge. He has successfully invested in many ventures as an angel investor in tech, healthcare, food & beverages, and hospitality sectors.

Dr Manoj Prasad has joined as Executive Chairman of MP Morgan Capital Partners, a global business strategy and corporate advisory firm having its head office in Singapore which is led by renowned and experienced investment bankers and lawyers. MP Morgan team has collectively raised and managed more than U$6 billion in debt, $5 billion in equity and $2 billion in assets in their previous roles.

MP Morgan Capital’s client base comprises corporates, private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, family offices, large, small and medium enterprises. The global network, covers emerging and developed markets, albeit with a historical focus on the USA, Europe, Middle East, Africa, India, and Asia.

Dr. Prasad is an unassuming, simple and down-to-earth person. He is jovial, charismatic yet astute and knowledgeable man behind the many successful ventures. He is one of the key members of the team is behind the issuance of the world’s first step-up Sukuk Bond (Islamic Convertible Bond) worth $3.5 billion for DP World to acquire P&O but he still describes himself as ‘an accidental banker’. No wonder, blue-chip corporates and global ultra-high net worth individuals seek his advice for investing their billions and taking their companies to next level.

“My success mantra has been holistic positivity about myself and everyone I interact with. I have been passionately obsessed with the idea of building and maintaining honest relationships, without any business interest,” says he.

Dr. Prasad believes that when relationships are built on the foundation of honesty, business happens on its own. This has led to a global network of clients and business associates who have stuck with him through thick and thin for the last 25 years.
