NH-24 to NH-58 Link Road to open by November, diversions in place

The 3.65km under construction NH-24 to NH-58 Link Road is likely to be opened in November. Officials of the Ghaziabad development authority said that the work on the Delhi-Ghaziabad railway section for the project is in an advanced stage and on schedule, according to a newspaper report.
The six-lane Link Road will provide direct connectivity to commuters moving towards NH-24, Noida and Delhi. The project is estimated at Rs138 crore.
The Link Road project, announced in 2005, is being constructed under the urban infrastructure development scheme for small and medium towns (UIDSSMT) scheme of the Central government.
“The construction work by railways is complete on one side of the railway tracks and is in progress on the other, on schedule. It is a vital infrastructure project and we will open it by November. The road will reduce the distance between NH-24 and NH-58. Commuters can save around 20-30 minutes as they will not have to use an alternative route to move between the highways,” AK Gupta, chief engineer of GDA, said.
