Noida Authority plans to build centre for elderly and orphans

The Noida Authority has planned to construct a specially designed old age home- cum-orphanage to take care of elderly and orphan children under the same roof. A budget of Rs. 300 crore has been allotted for building the centre.

“The project strives to provide excellent care for the senior citizens and orphan children in a homely environment”, said, Saumya Srivastava Deputy, Chief Executive Officer, Noida Authority.

According to press release, the centre will be built at B-11, Sector 62 Noida. The plot measures 5,000 sq. metre and has additional 5.5 acre designated for lush green park area. On completion it would cater to 216 adults and 160 children approximately.

The four storied centre is designed to have a library, health care facility rooms, medical emergency rooms, dining areas, and activity rooms. The center plans to have common interactive sessions for the elderly and orphaned children to develop bonding between them. The Dada-Dadi Park will also be created next to it on 5.5 acre of land. It will give all members a green, landscape view from all the windows and balconies.

The press release said the centre will be four storeyed building and each floor will have eight four bedded rooms, 11 two bedded rooms along with two ten bedded dormitories and two bedded rooms for maids. A separate hall for yoga and meditation will also be there to inculcate and nurture healthy lifestyle. Each floor will also have a common room for elderly and orphaned children which will have facilities for indoor games.
