Noida Authority website to have details of occupation certificates

The Noida Authority has decided to upload on its website complete details of all realty projects that have so far been granted occupation certificates.
“All details will be uploaded soon. We urge the public to have a look at the details of the project on our website — www.noidaauthorityonline.com — before they take possession of their property or before investing in any property,” PK Agarwal, Additional CEO of Noida Authority, told the media on Tuesday.
Newspaper reports quoting officials said the decision has been taken in the wake of several complaints by homebuyers about their inability to procure information about the status of real estate projects in Noida. “Homebuyers often complain to us that builders misguide them about the status of completion certificates,” said a senior Authority official. “We have also received information that many builders are giving possession of property to homebuyers without getting the requisite occupancy certificates,” he added.
Maximum complaints are being received from projects, which were affected due to order of the NGT that had restrained the authorities from issuing completion certificates to the projects located within 10-km radius of the Okhla Bird Sanctuary or within the eco-sensitive zone, officials said.
In this particular area, so far the Noida Authority has issued about 10 completion certificates to builder projects. Nearly 53 projects are in various stages of development in the area, the reports said.
