NTPC Initiates it’s First Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Simhadri, Vishakhapatnam


In line with Government of India’s plans to switch to electric vehicles mobility, NTPC, India’s largest power generating company, initiates its first Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Simhadri, Vishakhapatnam. NTPC is fully aligned for promoting clean energy transportation in the country, while further hiking the demand for electric vehicles and power generation.
The NTPC powered charging station has been designed by In-house NTPC engineering team at Simhadri. The station can have three Electric Vehicles charged simultaneously at the facility and is fully equipped with all amenities like parking bays, lighting, power supply and Wi-Fi access for automated monitoring and CC TV surveillance.
As a part of its corporate ethos, NTPC is committed to promote and accelerate the adoption of Electric Vehicles across the country by providing the much-needed mobility infrastructure to support EV growth. This Charging station for EVs is one step towards promoting and popularizing the concept of e-mobility.
