PM to virtually open Ficci AGM on Dec 12

The 93rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) will be held virtually on December 11, 12 and 14. The theme of this year’s AGM is ‘Inspired India’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the event on December 12, said a press release issued by Ficci.

Ficci AGM is the annual high-powered flagship event where Cabinet Ministers, Secretaries to the Government, global industry captains, diplomats, political party leaders, and other thought leaders participate. Sessions will include lively panel discussions, a powerful call to action and proactive concluding remarks.

The star-studded line-up of speakers in this year’s AGM includes global business leaders like Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft; Eric Schmidt, ex-Chairman Alphabet and Chairman of National Security Commission on AI (NSCAI); Peter Diamandis, CEO, Zero Gravity Corporation, Lord David Prior, Chair National Health Services (NHS) England and several other top-notch Indian business leaders such as: N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Group and Harsh Pati Singhania, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director JK Paper Ltd, Pankaj Patel, Chairman Cadila Healthcare Ltd and Sandip Somany, Immediate Past President, Ficci, Vice- Chairman & Managing Director HSIL Ltd.

More than 10,000 delegates are expected to virtually participate in this mega event from across the globe, added the release.  The three-day event will offer ample opportunities to virtually interact with eminent personalities from different sectors along with networking opportunities with fellow participants, it said.

On the sidelines of the AGM, the chamber will also open Ficci Annual Expo 2020 (FAE 2020), a virtual event focused on manufacturing and services sectors. Starting December 11, FAE 2020 will continue for a period of one year.
