REPL bagged contracts for Uttarakhand Water Supply Schemes and GIS-based master plans for AP towns
New Delhi, 20 November, 2018: Rudrabhishek Enterprises Limited (REPL), a Delhi-based Urban Development & Infrastructure Consultancy firm, has been roped in to prepare detailed project reports (DPR) for proposed water supply scheme in five peri urban towns in the state of Uttarakhand. The Company has also been roped-in by Andhra Pradesh Government to prepare Geographic Information System (GIS)-based master plans for four urban local bodies (ULBs) in the state. Both of these projects will further strengthen the company’s profile in infrastructure and urban planning consultancy.
The detailed project reports (DPR) for proposed water supply scheme in five peri urban towns include Jeevangarh, Nathanpur, Gumaniwala, Nathuwawala and Pratit Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand where water supply scheme is to be implemented. The contract has been awarded by Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, which is implementing the project with the financial assistance from the World Bank. The project will be implemented by the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS) and its line agencies Uttarakhand Peyjal Nigam (UJN), Uttrakhand Jal Sansthan (UJS), and the Project Management Unit (PMU)-Swajal.
While, The Geographic Information System (GIS)-based master plan will be prepared for four urban local bodies (ULBs) in the state of Andhra Pradesh — Narasaraopet, Piduguralla, Vinukonda and Addanki. This contract has been awarded by the state government’s Directorate of Town and Country Planning, which is undertaking preparation of master plans for ULBs to ensure planned development of towns and their surrounding areas. The scope of the contracted work includes collecting relevant data, analyzing available base maps and existing land use.
The acquisition of the Uttarakhand Water Supply project will help the state to achieve universal water supply coverage in rural and urban areas and basic sanitation coverage across the state. REPL will also carry out financial and economic analysis which is necessary to determine the tariff levels and subsidy requirement for Uttarakhand Water Supply.
The contract to prepare GIS based master plan in the state of Andhra Pradesh aims at ensuring integration between database of registration department, property tax, municipal and government properties and approved layouts ensuring planned development of town and their surrounding areas. The GIS based master plan by REPL will play an important part in realizing this objective and we will prepare a vision document on town development for the period up to 2041.

REPL works across levels (Regional, City & Zonal) with the Central and State Governments.
