Rising cement prices worry Noida builders
The confederation of real estate developers association (Credai) has sought government intervention alleging that cement manufacturers are controlling the prices of cement.
Suresh Garg, secretary Credai, western Uttar Pradesh said, “Cement manufacturers are arbitrarily controlling the prices of cement. After every 10-15 days, they are increasing the prices of cement by R 20-25 per bag, which is affecting the real estate sector. Cement manufacturers have increased per bag rates of cement from R 190 to R 300 in a very short period of time.” The builder alleged that with a lack of a government policy to regulate hoarding, cement manufacturers are over charging from builders.
Credai has requested the agencies concerned to look into this matter at the earliest.
