Santosh Yadav named MD of Noida Metro


The Uttar Pradesh state Government has appointed senior IAS officer and former Ghaziabad Development Authority Vice-Chairman Santosh Yadav as Managing Director of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation.
Presently he was UP’s Resident Commissioner in Delhi.
A 1995-batch IAS officer, Yadav was the Vice-Chairman of the Ghaziabad Development Authority till May last year, following which he was appointed Secretary to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow. The state Government later transferred him to Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) as CEO on June 8.
A B-Tech from IIT-Roorkee and MTech from IIT-Delhi, Yada vtwice served as District Magistrate in Gautam Budh Nagar in 2004 and 2006. He was made Additional Sales Tax Commissioner in Noida in 2007 and Commissioner of Meerut range in 2012, before he took charge as GDA Vice-Chairman.
