SPML Infra bags Rs 1,275 cr orders

Gurgaon, July 14, 2016 – SPML Infra Limited in Joint Venture with Tata Projects Limited have received three major new orders for design and construction of Sewerage System with provision of treated wastewater reuse from Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water Sewerage & Infrastructure Corporation Limited (RUDSICO) for 11 cities in Rajasthan for a total value of Rs 1,275 Crores. These projects are envisaged as decentralized sewage treatment projects similar to the ones being proposed under Namami Gange program. The treated wastewater reuse can provide alternative source of water, reduce pollution to ground water sources thus improving health and economic productivity.

The first order of Rs 480 Crore is for the development of sewer system in Bharatpur, Gangapur, Hinduan and Churu cities. The second order of Rs 417 Crore is for the same in Udaipur, Nagaur, Sujangarh and Baran. The third order of Rs 378 Crore is for the development of sewer system in Chittorgarh, Beawar and Bundi cities. The scope of work in all three packages is for the design, construction and commissioning of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) and Sewage Pumping Stations (SPS) along with sewer networks that will be completed in 24 months’ time with 10 years of operation & maintenance. 34 number of sewage treatment plants with total capacity of 74.4 MLD will be constructed with latest technology for high-level treatment efficiency.
