Tata Housing introduces Serein, first wellness integrated project

Real estate developer Tata Housing on Thursday announced its foray in the wellness homes segment with the launch of Serein in Thane, near Mumbai.
According to a press release, the company has partnered with the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) to develop wellness residences in accordance with LEED and the WELL Building Standard– an evidence-based system for measuring, certifying and monitoring the performance of building features that impact health and well-being.
The nascent concept of housing will be unveiled at the Serein project. The project, according to the release, will offer home-aspirants 2, 3 and 4 BHK apartments at a starting price of Rs. 1.65 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Brotin Banerjee, MD & CEO, Tata Housing Development Company, said, “We are excited to introduce the WELL Building Standard to Indian real estate, a landmark concept and an imperative in the present scenario.”
Mahesh Ramanujam, President, GBCI, said, “The GBCI Tata Housing partnership focuses on implementing LEED and other performance management platforms during design, construction and operations of Tata Housing Building Projects.”
