The Wadhwa Group partners with RailTel Corporation for internet & DTH/Cable TV services at Wadhwa Wise City
Mumbai, July 14, 2022: The Wadhwa Group have entered into an agreement with RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (RCIL), a Central PSU wherein RCIL will invest to plan, design & create a state-of-the-art wired infrastructure capable of delivering high-speed Broadband, Linear Cable TV services and other VAS services at Wadhwa Wise City, a Smart City project developed by The Wadhwa Group in Panvel. Wadhwa Wise City is an integrated township project spread across 138 acres with a development potential of 10mn sq.ft. being developed as part of a 450 acre land parcel.
It is also first of its kind agreements by RailTel with a private developer to develop this kind of infrastructure. RCIL will build the entire end-to-end infrastructure and will have the exclusive rights to lay the wired and wireless infrastructure for a period of 10 years within the Smart Township. Other Service providers will also get access to deliver their Services which will include security services, Voice (over IP) and Linear &/Non Linear) Cable TV /DTH and IPTV services as well as VAS. RCIL will build underground and in-building infrastructure up to the subscriber/user home and deliver/provide Internet Services and also manage the Network Infrastructure required for supporting RailWire business. The Access Network in Wadhwa Wise City Premises would be under ground 48/96 core Optical Fiber cable. Both the Last Mile and Access Network devices would be maintained and managed by RCIL approved vendor or MSP/Access Network partner. Further RCIL shall also augment capacity and plan a resilient network to handle RailWire traffic as per business projections. It shall also create RailWire Pops to provide network connectivity to Wadhwa Wise City Residents.

Railtel has recently launched truly unlimited broadband plans bundled with 13 OTT (Over-The-Top) services to RailWire customers. The Company is providing satisfactory services to many sectors which include Railways, Defence, Coal, Health, Education sectors, etc. This is our first agreement to develop this kind of infrastructure in a large township like Wadhwa Wise City and we will implement it efficiently. Our focus will be to create a state-of-the-art infrastructure for the residents of the township at a very minimal additional cost. Our efforts will be to secure more similar agreements.”
