UP RERA penalises 11 developers


The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), at a meeting held on March 19, decided to impose penalty on 11 promoters for non-compliance of its orders.
The developers who have been penalised include Supertech, Mahagun, Nivas Promoters, Sare Saamag Realty, Newtech Promoters and Developers, Ansal Properties and Infrastructure, TGB Realty, IVR Prime Developers, La Residentia Developers, Logix Infrastructure and Logix City Developers.
The Authority has directed these promoters to ensure compliance of its orders and deposit the penalty amount within a month, failing which the amount of penalty shall be recovered as arrears of land revenue.
In another decision, UP RERA decided to give the choice of physical hearing to the parties beginning May 1.
The Authority has been hearing complaints through virtual mode under its e-courts system keeping in view the need of containment due to COVID-19 pandemic. It has now decided to provide the opportunity of physical hearing to the concerned parties on their request, subject to compliance of COVID-19 protocol.
