Upflex India CEO Pratyush Pandey Steps Down from Anarock After Eight Years


New Delhi, February 22, 2025: Upflex India CEO Pratyush Pandey has announced his departure from Anarock after an eight-year tenure in various leadership roles. A founding member of the firm since its inception in 2017, Pratyush played a pivotal role in establishing and scaling three key business verticals—HVS, Warehousing & Industrial, and most recently, Upflex India.
His efforts in launching Upflex India, a joint venture with the world’s largest US-based flexible workspace platform, proved highly successful. Within just two years, he led the venture to profitability, securing investment from WeWork India and achieving a valuation of INR 125 crore.
Pratyush began his real estate career in 2000 with Chesterton Meghraj which became later became Trammell Crow Meghraj, and was subsequently acquired by JLL India. He remained with JLL until 2017 before joining Anarock, where he played a key role in its expansion into new business domains. While confirming his planned exit by mid-April 2025, Pratyush has remained tight-lipped about his next move.
Pandey is a distinguished figure in the real estate industry with a career spanning over two-and-a-half-decades. His professional journey is marked by significant achievements and leadership roles in renowned organizations. Pratyush embarked on his real estate career in 2000, entering the field of retail. Within four years, he earned the distinction of becoming the youngest regional head for the North within JLL. His career took a significant turn when he was personally chosen by a client fund to oversee the entirety of leasing and investment operations. This necessitated a relocation from New Delhi to Mumbai, where his career continued to flourish within JLL India.
During his tenure with JLL India, he achieved the prestigious title of ‘Rain Maker’, a testament to his status as the foremost broker in India. His exceptional expertise facilitated high-profile transactions in sectors such as land, hospitality, and retail. He successfully forged partnerships with both national and international operators, developers, and investment funds.
2017 Pratyush joined Anarock, where he served as one of the founding members of the firm. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in establishing and leading multiple business verticals, significantly contributing to the company’s growth and diversification.
In 2017, he orchestrated the creation of a global joint venture with HVS, a prominent global hospitality consulting firm. This strategic move expanded Anarock’s reach and enhanced its expertise within the hospitality sector.
In 2019, he spearheaded the establishment of the Warehousing, Industrial & Logistics (WIL) practice, recognizing the burgeoning importance of this sector in India’s real estate landscape.
In 2021, Pratyush Pandey was at the forefront of launching Upflex India, a subsidiary of Upflex Inc., in collaboration with Anarock. Under his leadership, Upflex India achieved profitability within an impressive two-year timeframe and is currently experiencing robust growth.
