Uttar Pradesh RERA registers 18 new real estate projects, extends 8

Lucknow/Gautambudh Nagar, March 21, 2025: Uttar Pradesh RERA held its 166th meeting under the chairmanship of Shri Sanjay Bhoosreddy on 19/20th March, 2025 to decide the matters of registration of new projects and extension of registration of previously registered projects. RERA had before itself 29 matters of new registration and 8 matters of extension of registrations. Concerned promoters were also heard through video conferencing.
UP RERA accepted the application for registration of 18 new projects out of which the highest number of 6 projects are in Gautambudh Nagar which are likely to bring an investment of INR 3,110 crore with construction of 4,774 new units. Interestingly, the highest amount of investment of INR 2,355 crore which is about 76 per cent of the total investment under the 18 new projects and 3,722 new units which is about 78 per cent of the all proposed new units, are likely to come under the 6 new projects of Gautambudh Nagar. Besides two new projects are coming in Lucknow, 2 in Ghaziabad, 2 in Ayodhya, 2 in Mathura and 1 each in the districts of Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Hapur and Jhansi.
UP RERA rejected one application and granted the concerned promoters of remaining 10 projects opportunity to correct the defects in their applications. These matters will again be considered in the next meeting of UP RERA.
UP RERA accepted all 8 applications for extension of registration and all these projects are from Gautambudh Nagar, thus removing the hindrance in completion of all these 8 projects. On completion of these projects, 4,946 allottees will get their long awaited houses. It is remarkable that 3 of these projects are covered under the recommendation of the Amitabh Kant Committee and the importance of this decision can be appreciated from the fact that there are 2,478 units under these 3 projects only.

It was stated by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy that it has been his endeavour that the required documents and factual information are necessarily furnished as per the RERA law at the time of registration so that the prospective allottees can have the accurate knowledge of the project details and that there do not come any hindrances in time-bound development of newly registered projects. It has been observed that most of the promoters do not fill registration applications correctly, leading to repeated instructions for curing the defects and delay in decision making. Therefore, we have decided to invite the promoters and their concerned employees to our Lucknow Headquarters for imparting proper training for filling online form for registration on UP RERA web portal. The promoters and their staff also have the opportunity to get requisite help in filling the registration application by contacting UP RERA Helpdesk at Lucknow.
