Aura

Vastu for the peace of mind by Aacharya Kamal Nandlal

Aacharya

Mental peace is a state of mind and emotional calmness, with no worries, fears and stress; where mind is quiet, and one can experience a sense of happiness and freedom. It is a well-known fact that stress, anxiety, tension, worries and fears can hurt your health, not only the physical health, but also the mental and emotional health. These negative states put strain on the nerves.

Vedic Science and Stress: Modern life is full of hassles, deadlines, frustrations, and demands. Anything that poses a challenge or a threat to our well-being is a stress. Some stresses get you going and they are good for you- without any stress at all many say our lives would be boring and would probably feel pointless. However, when the stresses undermine both our mental and physical health they are bad. In this text we shall be focusing on stress that is bad for you.

Vastu and Mind: As per Vastu Shastra it’s our mind that controls what we think and the natural tendency of the mind is to be restless. Thinking seems to be a continuous and ongoing activity. To have mental peace is not always that easy. Rather it’s not easy enough to get peace of mind besides having all luxury and materialistic things.

Vastu and Sadness: As per Vastu science sadness is inner feeling of emotional pain characterised by feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, helplessness, disappointment and sorrow. An individual experiencing sadness may become quiet or lethargic, and withdraw themselves from others. Crying is often an indication of sadness.

Vastu and Mental Peace: As per Vastu Shastra, Peace of mind is lost by most homeowners because of negative energies and sleeping direction which makes an important factor for losing peace of mind. Vastu can help us to replenish life by wading away negative energies and bringing in prosperity. Indian Vastu Shastra has the power to improve your love life, working conditions, financial status and above all the mental peace.

Vastu Guidelines: Vastu Shastra has categorised directions for each common activity that a person does in the house. And this categorisation is based on the kind and the level of energy that is prevalent in each direction. Mental distress is caused if the occupants of the house start sleeping in the zone that is meant for churning that is, east-south-east. Another cause of anxiety is practicing yoga or offering prayers in this zone.

While a person expects some peace while doing all these activities, the results turn out to be exactly the opposite. As per Vastu Shastra, the position of our sleeping bed is primary concern in incurring better peace of mind because this place provides us strength and enhance decision making power. Our bed surrounds with energies and if a person sleeping on it faces wrong direction then he/she has to encounter undesirable results effecting their health and peace of mind. Some Vastu suggestions are mentioned here through which you can feel mental peace, calmness and serenity of mind.

• Never allow dirty water to get stored either inside or outside the house.
• Keep the north-west corner of the house properly ventilated for flow of air.
• Keep the north-east corner of the house open for proper positive energy flow of air.
• Always sleep with head towards south or east and avoid head towards north or west.
• Never allow spiders to form cobwebs inside your house, otherwise you can suffer
• Never grow thorny and poisonous trees in the house otherwise the mind will be hovered with insecurity.
• Never keep lipped utensils in your bedroom, otherwise family disputes and financial losses are anticipated.
• Elderly people, retired people and owners of house must take over south-west position for sleeping in order to maintain peace of mind.
• Unmarried girls should take over north-west position for sleeping and south-west direction is prohibited as it tends to make them stubborn
