Real estate developer Wave Infratech, in collaboration with Wi-Fi service provider Ozone Networks, signed a memorandum of association with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Wednesday to offer free high-speed Wi-Fi services to commuters. The internet services will be offered at ‘Wave City Centre Noida’ and ‘Wave Sector 18’ Metro stations.

According to a press release, commuters will have access to high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity for the first 10 minutes free of cost. After that, they can purchase coupons which will be available at customer care centers across all the Metro stations in Noida.

Sachin Sharma Head – Projects, Wave Infratech, said, “Wi-Fi services at the Metro stations have been a longstanding demand of the commuters. Wireless connectivity is the need of the hour as most of our communication is facilitated through the internet. Also, with the paucity of time, people want their information to be delivered instantly.”

Sanjeev Sarin, Founder & CEO, Ozone Networks, said, “Whether you’re checking your email, calling your kids or looking for emergency assistance, or waiting for a friend, wireless service will enable you to experience high quality experience be it video, audio, shopping or social media. Each site will have an estimated footfall of 60,000 on weekdays and around 40,000 on weekends which is a great opportunity to start with. We are assuming that we will see a 10 per cent conversion initially and going forward we are aiming to bring 3 per cent growth on quarter basis.”
