Sunita Sharma is new MD & CEO of LIC HFL
Housing finance major LIC Housing Finance Ltd (LIC HFL) has appointed Sunita Sharma as the first woman chief of the organisation since its inception in 1989. She has assumed the charge as managing director and chief executive officer (MD&CEO) of the company on November 5, 2013.
Prior to this assignment, Sharma was executive director (Investments) in LIC of India, looking after the areas of equity research and risk management segments. Pension and group schemes became most successful marketing channel and business grew manifold for LIC when she was spearheading the assignment as executive director.
In a career spanning over three decades in the corporation, she has handled various assignments like personnel, new business, policy servicing, finance and accounts and estates. She had also served as regional manager of LIC HFL of northern region, covering the states of Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
