Akshaya launches ‘hygiene-happy’ homes
Real estate developer Akshaya on December 16 launched hygiene-happy homes named ‘Twin D’, a twin-tower residential project, at OMR, Kelambakkam, in Chennai.
Twin D comprises 174 smart 2&3BHK houses in sizes ranging from 986 to 1333 sq.ft, said a press release. Equipped with state-of-the-art specifications like touch-free lifts, home-automation systems and anti-bacterial paint, the project deploys technology and design to make it naturally easy for the residents to maintain personal hygiene and social distancing, added the release.
Towering over 14 floors, Twin D, it said, is specifically designed as a project with less density homes per floor for social distancing, with just six homes per floor. It gives 34-feet space between any two opposite homes.
To avoid physical contact on lift surfaces within the campus, Twin-D uses ‘touch-free’ and ‘voice-operated’ lifts that are powered by Amazon’s virtual assistant, Alexa. Thanks to the installation of home automation systems, the fans and lights in the houses can be controlled remotely, along with gas leak detection system as well as detection of intrusion through external doors. For the health and safety of the residents, anti-bacterial paint will adorn the interiors of each home.
