Residents of Noida want Govt to roll back property registry charge

Noida

Residents of Noida have asked Uttar Pradesh Govt to roll back its decision to levy 2 percent extra development charges on registration of property in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna expressway areas.

According to media reports, homebuyers complained that despite full payments to the builder’s many builders have not initiated the registration process or possession formalities of the flats.

While the duty hike is taken for providing technological up-gradation in infrastructural facilities for the city, residents claim that the Noida Authority does not lack funds for the same.

The Resident Welfare Association (RWA) federation, meanwhile, held a meeting on the issue over the weekend and decided to fight the state Government’s decision in the courts.
