Steel Ministry relief for Kerala flood affected with SAIL Salem Stainless steel


New Delhi / Salem, 31 August, 2018: Ministry of Steel’s major PSUs under the guidance of Hon’ble Union Minister of Steel, Shri Chaudhary Birender Singh has taken initiative to help the flood affected people of Kerala. Under this, Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) is executing the project by supplying 20,000 plate and tumbler sets. The stainless steel sets are made of SAIL’s Salem Stainless steel.
Taking up the work at priority level, SAIL’s Salem Steel Plant has already flagged off the first lot containing 5000 sets on August 29. The Plant will complete the dispatch of the entire quantity within this week, and be ready to serve further requirements if any.
