UBM Index hosts second edition of India Kitchen and Bath show


The second edition of the India Kitchen and Bath show, hosted by UBM Index Trade Fairs, was inaugurated at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on July 22. The inauguration was done by eminent industry designers and dignitaries.
Supported by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID),the three-day show brought together buyers and traders in kitchen and bath equipment, OEM white goods, accessories, kitchen and bath furniture and fittings, lighting products with architects, interior designers, builders, project managers and consultants. Renowned companies displayed their products at the event.
Among the highlights of the show were Sculpture Zone, presented by Aura Arta and ‘Design Yatra’, an initiative by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers.
Speaking at the inauguration, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India, said, “The luxury market in India is growing at a CAGR of 25 per cent over the last couple of years. With factors such as higher standards of living, increasing disposable income and increasing expenditure on beautifying homes, India is no longer a testing ground, but a profitable market for premium brands. Consumers are gradually willing to spend on premium quality products. The modular kitchen and sanitary ware markets have witnessed a shift from utility to luxury and is expected to grow further. With its second edition, UBM Index Trade Fairs will help tap and further harness the potential for this maturing market in India.”
