Naredco signs MoU with Assocham’s green initiative GEM
The National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GEM (Green and Eco-friendly Movement), a green initiative of industry body Assocham to create deeper awareness about a sustainable lifestyle.
The MoU was signed by Rajesh Goel, Director General, Naredco, and Pankaj Dharkar, National Chairman, Assocham Council for GEM, in the presence of Niranjan Hiranandani, President, Naredco and Assocham, and Rajeev Talwar, Chairman, Naredco.
Commenting on the new association Hiranandani said, “The objective of the MoU is to exchange information on the latest developments in our respective fields that are of common interest, and jointly work, in particular in the areas of mutual interest to benefit the real estate sector.”
Assocham, GEM, and Naredco, he said, will jointly develop and promote training and educational programs in sustainability and related fields for and among the members of both organisations.
Talwar said, “The collaboration will help promote the co-operation between Assocham GEM technical committees and National Real Estate Development Council technical committees and Task Forces. Also, there will be communication and information exchange between the organizations and their respective members through announcements in journals, websites, and other communication modes as applicable.”
