NBCC (India) Limited Inks MOU With Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation (Vidc), Govt. Of Maharashtra
In presence of Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC, an MoU for the First Phase of Work valued approx. Rs.1058 Crore has been signed between Shri Yogesh J P Sharma, Chief General Manager, NBCC (India) Limited and Shri Avinash Survey, Executive Director, VIDC on March 16th 2017 in Mumbai. NBCC has been allotted Construction of Irrigation Scheme Works in Maharashtra under Gosikhurd National Project, valuing approx. Rs.6000 crore and this Phase-1 Work is part of the Total work of Rs. 6000 Cr, to be implemented by the Company. The scope of work under Gosikhurd National Project in Maharashtra includes up gradation of Civic Amenities of Rehabilitation Villages, Right Bank Canal, Canal and Distribution System of Nerla and Mokhabardi LIS etc. This First Phase of project will likely to be completed in approx. 18 months.
Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC shared the details on the Project with the media and also talked about some significant future initiatives of NBCC that included the Company’s aggressive drive towards enhancing stake overseas. In the context, he mentioned about bagging of Rs.250 crore works in Mauritius last week and the prospect of securing a few more in near future in Mauritius and other such neighboring countries. Dr. Mittal also shared the other important future initiatives of NBCC in respect of redevelopment works, affordable housing, new technology adoption, collaboration with foreign companies like Hungary, Russia, South Korea, Malaysia, Oman etc.
