Expressing concern at non-compliance of some of its orders, UP RERA chief Rajive Kumar has called upon industry bodies Credai and Naredco to ensure that the situation is rectified at the earliest.
Speaking at the ninth edition of Realty Webseries hosted by Realty & More and ICCPL on July 4, Kumar requested the two developer associations “to review with your teams as to how these orders which are still un-complied can be taken care of.”
Citing instances, he said, “When I ask somebody you were to get an alternative, what happened? The answer, he said, he gets is, “They are asking for more than the market price for that particular unit.”
UP RERA chief informed the webinar that out of almost 26,000 complaints, more than 19,000 we have been disposed of. “And there are lot of builders who have also tried their best to see that those orders get complied with”, he said happily. “But non-compliance of orders is one area where we need to be working together”, he emphasised, closing his remarks with: “I know that there are miles to go…”
