Wellness vital element in home selection: Tata Housing survey
NEW DELHI: The “sensation and feeling of wellness” is priority for buyers, according to a Wellness Consumer Survey conducted by Tata Housing. A total of 69 per cent respondents rated it as “very important.”
On the announcement of the survey results, Brotin Banerjee, MD & CEO of Tata Housing, said, “We felt this was the right time to conduct the survey as India is and has been making positive global impact. The survey has resulted in some startling revelations about the consumer’s preference for wellness during the buying process.”
The survey suggests that a substantial section of the Indian populace is unaware of the existence of features aiding personal, social, emotional and career wellbeing in the luxury residential context with 45 per cent respondents indicating so. Sixty- three percent of the consumers are not aware of harmful electromagnetic fields created in residences due to electrical circuitry whereas 37 percent aware consumers are helpless and are waiting for a solution.
Conducted in October, the survey took a close look into the factors comprising healthy living and their priority for consumers while choosing a home. The research is based on an online study accumulating responses from 800 people across the nation in the age category of 25 and 40 years.
