IGBC honour for Wave Infratech
Real estate developers Wave Infratech, has been felicitated with the award ‘Developer with Large Green Building Footprint in India’ by ‘Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)’ for championing the cause of green in the country.
According to a press release IGBC has acknowledged Wave Infratech as a leader in the field of green buildings and a true green champion of the country. The green portfolio of Wave Infratech has the largest contribution in the green movement and has played a major role in putting India in the 2nd position, on the world map, in terms of largest green building footprint.
Talking about the important milestone achieved by Wave Infratech, Prem C. Jain, Chairman, IGBC said, “We, at IGBC, are grateful to Wave Infratech for leading the Green Building Movement in India, with the single largest contribution in IGBC registered Green Building footprint of 3.2 billion sq. ft.”
Talking about the achievement, RK Panpalia, MD, Wave Group said, “We believe that it is a primary responsibility of the real estate fraternity to ensure an eco-friendly society. We at Wave are committed in working towards environmental conservation and creating a sustainable and a greener future for the coming generations”.
The press release said, at Wave Infratech, it is believed that green buildings are the key to a cleaner and greener future. Therefore, Wave ensures to take all necessary steps to develop environment friendly projects. The Green Building Congress is IGBC’s annual flagship event and is one of Asia’s largest on green buildings and sustainability. The theme for this year’s conference is “Green, Smart and Healthy Cities”.
The award was conferred to Wave Infratech at the IGBC Curtain Raiser event; on the eve of the Indian Green Congress 2015.
