Vaastu Tips for the Children’s Room
While planning out your Children room, we need a space that serves all those functions and yet is comfortable and practical for several years to come
Generally a children room is a centre for amusement, fun and frolic. For children, a bedroom is more than just a place to sleep. It’s a spot to do homework, gaming, reading etc. However some basic things should be taken care of to make your child an all – rounder.
Vaastu is all about creating cordial settings or a place to live, in the most scientific way by taking advantages of the benefits bestowed by the five elements of the nature. Vaastu helps us to live a happy and healthy life with peace of mind for ourselves and for our children, so the first concern of vaastu science is to build the surrounding environment in harmonious format.
Vaastu Shastra guides and suggests placement of objects at its proper location according to corresponding direction such as study table, bed, bathroom, and clock, and window, door and so on. Proper placement of things instils positive thinking in children’s mind to work harder and making them full of cheer.
Some basic Guidelines for children’s room as per Vaastu Shastra:
- West direction is ideal for children room. South-West direction is best for placing furniture in children’s room.
- Keep children’s bed in the South-West portion of their room.
- Let the children sleep with the head towards the South or East directions for peace of mind
- Avoid any kind of furnishing in the middle or centre of the children’s room.
- Children’s room study area should be clutter free in order to boost concentration.
- Door of children’s room should not directly face the bed.
- Closets should be placed in West direction of the children’s room.
- Cabinets should be placed in the South direction of the children’s room.
- Study table should face East, North or the North-East direction
Vastu tips for Children Room
• Good Lights should be place in the South East direction of the children’s room.
• In the Children’s room, furniture should be kept three inches away from the wall.
• Avoid Television Sets in the children’s room as it obstructs energy flow.
• Avoid Sharp Lamps on the study table which begets strain.
• Avoid placing computers in the children’s room as it effects child concentration.
• Avoid placing exposed mirrors in the children’s room.
• Avoid placing any kind of mirror in front of the bed in the children’s room.
• Computers should be located in the South East position of the house.
• Children’s rooms should be painted either in Green or Blue hue colors.
• Children’s room doors should be placed In the East or North direction.
